Christmas was great. I had some health problems (too long and boring of a story for now), but overall, it was very nice. Karlee looked really cute playing with the boxes and crawling all around. Ashley seemed happy, but she didn't feel well because of a cold. EG seemed like he was having a good time.

Ashley got mostly clothes, and Karlee got a lot of clothes too. Karlee also got some books and toys. I got a T-Fal set, which I really wanted. I got 2 DVDs, candles, clothes, bath stuff and fuzzy socks. EG got a variety of things, including 3 DVDs. We got a bigger slow cooker than the one we already have from EG's dad.

Karlee now has a cold. Yesterday she had a fever and was pretty out of it. She seems a little better today.

What else?
Karlee looked absolutely beautiful in her Christmas dress, which she wore for about five minutes before flipping out. Still managed to get this cute shot of her with the Christmas ornament.

I made a spice cake with my new cake pans. I hate to bake. It is rare that I do. So anyway, when it was cooled off and I was putting the icing on it, it looked too plain to me. So I decorated it the best that I could. It was an ok job for someone that just threw it together (last minute) and hates to bake!

After we took Ashley back to her mother, EG and I spent the whole evening watching movies. We watched Scrooged (pay per view), Iron Man (pay per view), and The Dark Knight (DVD EG got for Christmas). Iron Man was pretty good. Can't wait to see the next one. The Dark Knight was the best. I liked it - it had a lot of twists and turns. I'm usually not into comic books turned into movies, but these were good.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas like we did!

Poor Little Caylee

I would be a major liar if I said I wasn't a Nancy Grace fan. I never really watched her that much before until this Caylee Anthony thing came up. I have been following the story for a few months now, I think around September is when I started.

Nancy Grace is really hot-headed, opinionated, bold, and everything else that a lot of people find offensive. I like her because she does not care what others think of her! She puts her mind out on the table without hesitation. It's like watching a switch being flicked when she talks about her twins though. She really adores them, and rightly so. They are very cute.

EG could not stand Nancy Grace at first. Now he is hooked too. We like it when she says, "Let's unleash the lawyers!" and then cuts them off when she doesn't like what they're saying. Hahaha!

But this Caylee Anthony thing...I know we're all supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but it seems as though Casey Anthony has really dug herself into a hole from the get-go. She would not cooperate with the police (I mean, come on! She didn't report her daughter missing for a month after she "disappeared"), she lied about many things, and led people on wild goose chases. I don't see how she could seem credible to ANYONE. She certainly doesn't to me.

I have speculated that perhaps her brother Lee is also Caylee's father. CAsey + LEE = CAyLEE. Lee supposedly refused to give his DNA to the police. Why? I mean, if you want your niece's murderer to be found and you had nothing to with it, why refuse to cooperate? Is it because you are more than just an uncle? Casey has given many different stories about Caylee's father, and I believe they've all turned out to be false. Ew, ew, ew, EW! Anyway, I wouldn't be honest if I said that Lee being Casey's father had not crossed my mind.

I do hope that Cindy and George Anthony find some peace and time to grieve for their loss. The media is just relentless. I don't agree with everything they have done while Caylee was missing (like not reporting her missing sooner too), but all in all, I think they are innocent of any wrongdoing. They are very protective of their family, and their family is falling apart. I do feel badly for them.

Oh, How I Miss Them!

Well, if you check out my list of music, you will find that there are plenty of Fuel songs to listen to. I would have added more but then the whole player would have been overrun with the vocals of Brett Scallions.

I miss Fuel. Woe is me.

I think I loved Fuel because all of the songs fit perfectly into some point of my life. Or at least it felt like it. Granted, I didn't like ALL of the songs. Just some.

My favorite song? Innocent. Definitely. Sadly, I remember where I was when I first saw the music video. Ha! Anyway...

No, it is not a teenage crush on Brett, though it once started out that way! First, I am no longer a teenager, and second, the crush is not on Brett - perhaps it's his voice? EG tells me that Brett's voice is whiny - though when I showed him singing for Riders On The Storm, his opinion changed.

I saw Fuel play at IUP in 2001 or somewhere around then. It was great! If I'd have known that I'd never see them together again...*sniff*...well, I'd probably have blown off classes the next day to go party with them that night at a friend's frat house. Then again, I didn't believe they'd be there. Damn intuition.

I Have Arrived!

Ok, so I am blogging like millions and gazillions of other people. I do it on my myspace page anyway.

Well...let's see. Karlee's birthday was just a few days ago - the 18th. She turned one, and of course, I was ecstatic. She had no idea what all the fuss was about. Karlee did love the cake part though - who wouldn't?

I am excited about Christmas. We got the kids some nice little gifts and EG got me something in a big box. I swore I would not peek or snoop, so I have not. I got him some things that he's been wanting. It was easier than I thought.

I wish we could go out this New Year's Eve. For the past couple of years, we have had Ashley. Not that having Ashley is a bad thing, but babysitting so her mom and her boyfriend can go out partying is a bad thing. What about OUR partying? Blah. Oh well. Next year we are saying NO (supposedly).

I am on a much needed two week winter break from school. The classes that I'm taking now do not interest me in the least, so it has been slow going. I still have a 4.0!

Well, I suppose this is enough babbling for now. Here is a pic of Karlee on her first birthday:

She was trying to feed me cake after I put a glob of icing on her nose. What messy fun!
